1. Who we are
WheelGather is a car-buying intermediation project that brings together people interested in purchasing a new car and seeks negotiated offers from potential partner dealerships.
WheelGather is operated in Belgium by Amine Mouffak, who acts as the data controller for the processing described in this policy.

WheelGather is not a dealership and does not sell vehicles directly.
2. What personal data we collect
We may collect personal data when you:
submit a request through the WheelGather website;
complete a WheelGather instant form on Facebook or Instagram;
contact us by email or through another communication channel.
Depending on the form or interaction, this may include:
your name;
email address;
telephone number;
country, region or city;
the vehicle brand, model or category you are interested in;
your expected purchase timeframe;
your approximate budget;
whether you already have an offer from a dealership;
any additional information you choose to provide.
When you use our website, our hosting and technical providers may also process technical information such as your IP address, device and browser information, cookies and usage data.
When you complete a form on Facebook or Instagram, Meta also processes information in accordance with its own privacy policy.
3. Why we use your data and our legal basis
We process your personal data for the following purposes:
To register and assess your request and identify a potentially suitable buying group: taking steps at your request before providing our intermediation service (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR).
To contact you about your request, compatible buying groups or relevant negotiated offers: taking steps at your request before providing our intermediation service (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR).
To manage, secure and improve our website, forms and services: our legitimate interest in operating and improving WheelGather (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR).
To share your contact details with a dealership: only after obtaining your prior consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR).
We do not sell your personal data and do not provide it to dealerships without your prior agreement.
4. Who receives your data
Your personal data may be processed by service providers that help us operate WheelGather, including providers of:
website hosting;
form collection and processing;
email and communications;
data storage;
advertising and lead-generation services.
This includes Meta Platforms Ireland Limited when you submit a WheelGather instant form through Facebook or Instagram. Meta may also process certain information for its own purposes under its own privacy policy.
Your personal data will only be shared with a dealership after you have expressly agreed to that specific introduction or disclosure.
We require service providers acting on our behalf to process personal data only in accordance with applicable data-protection requirements.
5. International data transfers
Some of our service providers may process personal data outside the European Economic Area.
Where required, such transfers are protected by an adequacy decision, the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses or another safeguard recognised under the GDPR.

6. How long we keep your data
We keep your request and related personal data for up to 24 months after your last interaction with us, unless a longer period is required by law or necessary to establish, exercise or defend legal claims.
After that period, the data will be deleted or anonymised. You may request its deletion earlier, subject to any applicable legal grounds for retaining it.
7. Your rights
Under the GDPR, you may have the right to:
access your personal data;
correct inaccurate or incomplete data;
request deletion of your data;
restrict its processing;
object to processing based on legitimate interests;
receive certain data in a portable format;
withdraw your consent at any time.
Withdrawing consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before the withdrawal.

8. Security
We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal data against unauthorised access, loss, misuse, alteration or disclosure. However, no online system can provide absolute security.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this privacy policy when our services or data-processing practices change. The latest version will always be published on this page with its updated date.
